Adding a vCenter Endpoint
1. We start by going to the Infrastructure tab, then choosing Endpoints from the side menu and then Endpoints again. Once there however over the New Endpoint item on the right side of the page. 2. Once the menu slides down select Virtual and then vSphere(vCenter). 3. When the New Endpoint - vSphere(vCenter) page open we need to give the Endpoint a Name. IMPORTANT: This must match the enpoint name you assigned when installing the proxy agent during the IaaS Installation. Next we have to input the vCenter server address in the following format: https://{FQDN of vCenter}/sdk. Then select the credentials you created in the last step and click ok. 4. Wait about 1-4 minutes depending on your environment and got to the Agents menu item. In here if you click the drop down next to Proxy agent name you should see your agent in the list. If you do not, you may have a configuration issue. There is no configuration needed in this screen, it''s just an easy way to see if vCAC is communicating with vCenter.
